hi everyone

i have a ke70 that ive had for about a month now,

has stock motor, clutch,gbox n such

anyways

just now got abit bored so went for a quick trash at a local dirt road,

a couple of handbrake clutch dumps here n there

and then my clutch suddenly felt wak, it was very loose to press, and would crunch on alot of gearchanges unless the revs were match perfectly

so i headed home,

on the way i decided i was angry at it so i gave it a good kick on one corner

now the losseness is gone and it feels ok again, but it still crunches on gear changes, especially changeing down

and its not slipping its just like...crunching?

 

so what have i f@$ked? and what do i need to do to fix it?

clutch cable adjustment c-clip??

where the clutch cable goes thru the firewall, there's a metal section about 2cms long with grooves in it. a c-clip should go onto that, effectively adjusting the tension the clutch cable is under.

 

This pic show's the c-clip and metal piece

he may be onto it, just sounds like your clutch isnt pulling the plate apart properly, so try adjusting it.

You say you were giving it a thrashing...So more than likely the clutch just got excessively hot, so wasnt engaging when you put your foot on the clutch hence crunching in gearbox. Then as you got futher back it had cooled off so when you went to use it it was good again.

EDIT:

Just re-read first post and you say its still crunching, could also be excessively worn from the thrashing. Dunno. Not as sure about it now.
