Hi,

Was going to replace my KE15 glove box the other day with a new one I had for it.

 

Went to remove the original KE15 one and noticed this:

 

The elastic mount int eh top. Looks like it has been there since new.

 

Can anyone confirm if it was and if they are original what went there? As my other original box has no elastic in it at all.

I have some glovebox's with these and some without. I'm guessing it was supposed to

be to hold maps...

So yeah, they are there from new in some.

just to confirm, my ke20 has this elastic strip. nfi on its use, but it's there.

I tried it for size my bluetooth GPS slides in like a glove so stops it rolling around the car so I can still put my maps in it..LOL

 

Interesting. I initially though if it was not after market and maybe a pen holder or something but maps seem more accurate and good to know it is factory.
