twinkytodd Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 fairly noob question but anyway, in my ke70 the handbrake has never been the best in the world, it rolls down hills when i park its that bad. anyway iv tried adjusting it in the cabin by making it tighter but it really doesnt seem to work. also yesterday i changed the rear brake shoes thinking it might be them that were not grabbing properly, but still the same thing as before is happening. if someone could shed some light on the matter as to what other things could solve my problem it would be greatly appreciated. cheers todd Quote
Redwarf Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 get your rear drums machined and work from there. Quote
twinkytodd Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 i was thinking about turning my drums but didnt want to go to the effort in case there was another smaller thing i have missed inbetween stages. just so u know my rear brakes work very well under normal pedal braking application. tas_ae71 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 takes about 15sec to adjust in car... lol. press foot brake, apply hand brake, release foot brake release hand brake and your done.. if its really bad you may need to repeat the process.. it works for me every time. i do this automatically when drifting as i also at times use both brakes in unison. twinkytodd Posted March 29, 2008 Author Report Posted March 29, 2008 yeah they were way off. plus one of the locking clip things were missing from the adjuster so that didnt help. but ill keep that in mind for next time. Quote
