Clapped out Posted April 30, 2008 Author Report Posted April 30, 2008 i thought id share this with you guys, as i stumbled across a few people that do this quite often, believe it or not i got told to use a bolster, so seeing how cheap they were i went out and bought a few in various widths, i done a section (drivers side front floor) and took me 20 mins to complete, i thought this was quite reasonable in time span, thanks once again guys for your idea's/imput, cheers phatke30! Gspec Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 I do this all the time at work... Get a 2" scraper, sand it till its razor sharp, apply a little bit of heat to the tar and the shit just rolls off. A heat gun is always a usefull tools and razor sharp scrapper is great for cleaning apllicators so you'll use them multipul times, no need to spend $50 on something you're gonna only be able to use once. And as for fumes, use only enough heat to soften to tar... NO FUMES. and if you still belive the fumes are an issue grab a fan. :rocknroll: Quote
