Clapped out Posted April 30, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 30, 2008 i thought id share this with you guys, as i stumbled across a few people that do this quite often, believe it or not i got told to use a bolster, so seeing how cheap they were i went out and bought a few in various widths, i done a section (drivers side front floor) and took me 20 mins to complete, i thought this was quite reasonable in time span, thanks once again guys for your idea's/imput, cheers phatke30! Get a 2" scraper, sand it till its razor sharp, apply a little bit of heat to the tar and the shit just rolls off. A heat gun is always a usefull tools and razor sharp scrapper is great for cleaning apllicators so you'll use them multipul times, no need to spend $50 on something you're gonna only be able to use once. And as for fumes, use only enough heat to soften to tar...
