Ok so i finally got the 4AC power box turned over and running, but apparently it's revving out at round about 1800RPM, Now to be completely honest i haven't heard t yet so this post may need to be updated/changed or even remonved in the morning but the old man got her living and i can't turn her over to see for myself now as it's 2:33am and don't wanna make him or the neighbours, but a lot of replies happen on here late at night early morning so hate to miss this opportunity for opinions.

So far I've checked the Vacuum hoses and the Intake but all look ok and plumbed up right.

Ok so checked it out myself, rattles to high hell but i think i know why.

turn it over starts and idles at 800-900RPM, hit the throtte shoots to 1600-1800RPM and sticks, drove it around for an hour, stopping and starting in about 15-20Min intervals to make sure the choke wasn't the problem, well i dunno it might be the problem but it still Idles really high even after a fair stretch of driving.

take the cover off of the air filter, the choke is the metal flaps at the top of the carb barrel.

if it is sticking shut then the wires maybe disconnected or the electronic shock mechanisum maybe shagged.

Hows the throttle feel, is it very heavy? If once its been sitting overnight it wants to idle right, and the first blip of the throttle it rev's higher, sounds like the throttle cable could be sticking, or the carby itself. Give it a really good soak down with carby cleaner and see what happens. Apart from the choke issues previously explained, the other thing that it could be is the return spring for the carb.

Hope this helps.
