Jono Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 i've got oil on the bolts on my inlet manifold. i've no idea where it is coming from any ideas? here is a pic. its dry above the bolts. i've taken the bolts out and the threads are dry. Quote
irokin Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 Looks like its sprayed upwards to me. Is that the oil pressure sender there? or a knock sensor? Quote
beerhead Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 That looks like a knock sensor. What motor is it? a 4AGE. Might be worth resealing any rubber gaskets nearby with some blue goo. Looks pretty minor though. Quote
hilton Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 looks like a smallport, plug that knock sensor in too man. i know what it is i just can't explain withough showing you... Quote
philbey Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Pfft you call that oil. buy an old porsche and you'll learn about oil hahaha. Quote
Jono Posted July 1, 2008 Author Report Posted July 1, 2008 yep, its a smallport, and that is the knock sensor. i use a haltech e6x - no knock sensor input. so the oil is blowing up in the wind after seeping from between the block and the head? Quote
