Astro Boy Posted July 15, 2008 Author Report Posted July 15, 2008 I'll keep you guys posted with our progress. I'm 3 years away from my L's permit (Rollaclub's youngest member!) therefore don't have a job, progress will be small, but continuous (If thats a word.). I'll get some more pic's tomorrow. I'm glad it survived the 705km trip from Melbourne to Adelaide, good sign. :) Cheers. Quote
JiP Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Its not too bad. Your lucky to find yourself a car with a overrated dash pad. Those license plate lights always rust but luckily you can buy them brand new from ebay. That "Speed hole" that you have is common, I have one at the moment in my KE30, I'm yet to have it repaired. Not a too bad find, look forward to seeing the progress. Quote
Astro Boy Posted July 15, 2008 Author Report Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) Oh i forgot to mention, its name is "Beavis" (Beavis and butt-head inspired) Maybe in a few years i'll buy another rolla and call it butt-head? Edited November 12, 2008 by Astro Boy Quote
charl Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) ooooh.... nice mate! as for your rusty speed holes, cut, sand back to bare metal, treat with fish oil, and fibreglass! easy. but if youve got the time and access to a mig welder, sand back till all the paint in the area is gone and you can see where the good metal is, cut out the rust, weld in new sheeting from another rolla or something similar and panel beat to shape! also, EBAY, EBAY, EBAY!! JiP Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Nice, well feel free to add Beavis onto the Corolla Database... Quote
