Ben-89 Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I was at Kilsyth today - there's a Slanty and a flat front side by side. They cleared out a silver flat front that was there. They were put out within the last week so there's still plenty of parts on them. Usual bits are taken. I took the front bar, grille and an un-cracked overflow/washer bottle unit today. The yellow KE55 is still there too, although it's probably almost ready to go out. It still has the chrome bumpers front and rear - although they aren't super. Also, there's a Crown there which was unusual/rare, possibly a 77-79 model, not sure. That silver ke70 XX was ready to go when I saw it a month ago. Those cars certainly don't last over on the eastside. That Crown was in quite good condition when I last saw it, seems to be more original cars up that side of town which get donated unlike the stuff at Campbellfield pick a part. As Aguis mentioned, white slant front 84 model ke70. 117,000kms tidy car in general, Perfect condition, clean and leak free overflow bottle and hose is residing in my engine bay. Still has the complete air conditioning sysem in it. Down from it is another slanty front ke70, its been painted two tone which must've been someones project who gave up on it. Quote
Jrad Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Talking about original cars, they have a 1973 or 72 Mercedes for sale for $1500 out the front. I don't know enough about them, but I'm sure an almost-complete car like that has to have well over $1500 worth of parts on it. ...That's if you know where to sell the parts. Small market. They also have a Corona for sale, $750 with chrome fender mirrors and "JDM" stickers on it, haha. Quote
carbonboy Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Spotted this at Pinch-A-Part, Campbellfield this afternoon, familiar to anyone? Bonnet was nicely rumpled :( Also, the red AE9X that WAS in nice condition? :laff: There was also a KE....ummm....:hmm:...ducktailed-boot two door there, not sure how much was left as I bailed when it started raining, again! Hingwaah Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Went for a quick trip down to Imlach's yesterday (Centre rd wreckers). There is a very clean white KE70 (Up the back 2nd row from the left) which looks like it has just been added to the collection. 4K Auto, nice interior, good panels etc. Not much else worth noting - nothing had been taken off it yet, but knowing Imlach's and KE70's this will change very quickly! silverra23 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) White KE70 is still there. Would be great pickings for someone wanting a flat front - the bar and all the panels were in remarkably good shape. Blue interior was pretty good too. Would steam clean up nice. Picture attached. Not much else there other than a few of the old regular ke30/55's and the rt40. There is an AE93 with a 4age in it that looks like its had a bit of a picking at, but is still basically whole. KEhendo Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 that passenger mirror is also desirable afaik. Quote
silverra23 Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Someone was having fun with the Ke70 in the last few days... all seats laid right back...a wheel propped up inside each guard... someone must have got a "mad" photo :) Quote
Jrad Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Once again, i bring news! Kilsyth have 3-5 KE70s, a KE35 next to a brown Corona (yep!) and a few other Coronas. There's also an old Celica there with relatively nice seats and trim. Also about a 1994 Celica there. AND YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE ME! A Datsun Sunny ute! But it's been painted in military green, and appears to have been a farm car that's rolled over :( It's pretty bad. Quote
silverra23 Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 jarrad how old was the "old celica" ? Quote

The chances of finding those bits on the net will be far greater as thats where they circulate. Unless you're very patient you may come across those parts in wreckers but who knows when. Quote
Jrad Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 (edited) I think the "old celica" was a TA22, but I just checked pick a part's website, looks like it's gone. but it was definitely older than an 80 Celica: 1980 COUPE RED CE1292 Campbellfield 1987 COUPE WHITE KE1134 Kilsyth 1988 COUPE RED CE1600 Campbellfield 1990 COUPE WHITE CE1475 Campbellfield 1990 COUPE BLACK CE1617 Campbellfield 1990 COUPE BLACK KE1277 Kilsyth 1992 COUPE BLUE KE1365 Kilsyth 1993 COUPE BLUE CE1682 Campbellfield And here's a list of early Corollas for you as well. 1977 SEDAN WHITE KE1779 Kilsyth 1979 SEDAN YELLOW KE0898 Kilsyth 1980 S/W GOLD CE1338 Campbellfield 1984 SEDAN WHITE KE1543 Kilsyth 1984 SEDAN SILVER KE1269 Kilsyth Edited September 2, 2011 by Jrad Quote
