i tried googleing it. but i want to stop inside mechanics advancing? cos i know with the turbo evn with vacume advance taken off the timing will advance to like 30deg and quickly blow the gasket.

What? Please explain how advancing timing blows gaskets? Confused.

The head gasket is the weak link in a boosted K motor....... :hmm: :eatlead:

 

Locking the dizzy and running static timing reduces the compression ratio "at the time of firing".

 

 

Oh and to answer the original question: Pull it apart and you'll see how easy it is to do. Either replace springs with cable ties, or cabel tie the weight slots if it has them. You'll see what I mean. :bash:
