Ae71 Manual Conversion. What Do I Need?

Hey, I'm wanting to do a manual conversion for my ae71..what parts am i looking at?

 

-t50 gearbox

-clutch master and slave cylinder and hoses

-pedal box (i can get a t18 pedal box, as far as i'm aware i just have to drill some holes in the firewall?)

 

do i need the manual starter motor and tailshaft aswell?

 

also, will i need a manual gearbox cross member? Or is the auto and manual one the same?

you will also need the clutch itself, along with pressure plate and the assoc. bearings.

 

i got the lot for my 4k-c from repco for around $150 bucks. std duty. heavy duty i imagine would be alot more

As far as I know you will need the crossmember and tailshaft too. Starter shouldn't matter.

i can confirm on the starter. i used the same starter from my auto when doing my manual conversion

 

also, make sure you have the correct crossmember and tailshaft..i bought a bunch of stuff from a wrecker under instruction it was all from another ke70. turns out it was all from a ke55

 

oh, speedo cable will be different too (based on k series auto to k-50, dunno bout the a/t series stuff). but thats not much of an issue as you have to take out the gauge cluster to get to the pedal box bolts anyway. just gotta rip the old cable out and put the new one in

gbox

that should be it,

Manual flywheel also.

t18 clutch master will work,

not sure about pedal box though.

 

I have a manual ae71 gbox crossmember if someone wants to buy it

did u get pressure plate, bearings etc to go with your clutch? also make sure you check out that speedo cable too.
