March 7, 200521 yr comment_34167 I have got some parts here now.. I have ae86 front suspension/steering components, crossmember, brakes, etc, everything except the sway-bar. I want better brakes, and the ae86 ones are vented discs.. it's also alot easyer for me to get new springs and shocks for ae86 than ke70, so I want to use the suspension also.. and I've heard ae86 has quicker ratio on the steering wheel than ke70, so I want to change to the ae86 rack'n pinion.. I am wondering if anyone has done something like this before, and if it's worth the job? is this really just a bolt on conversation? Report
March 7, 200521 yr Author comment_34275 okay, will the geometry of the suspension change very much? caster, camber, toe-in, etc? Report
March 18, 200521 yr Author comment_35939 okay.. can I just swap the brakes? are you sure it's 100% the same? isn't the ae86 reinforced or something? Report
March 18, 200521 yr comment_35993 Swap the backing plates, calipers, discs, hubs BUT keep the KE70 bearings if your using KE70 struts. Report
March 19, 200521 yr comment_36012 hold on, you can swap ae86 hubs onto ke corolla struts with ke bearings? really!? Report
March 19, 200521 yr comment_36015 hold on, you can swap ae86 hubs onto ke corolla struts with ke bearings? really!? Have you heard otherwise? AFAIK you can even swap celica hubs onto KE struts if you retain the bearings.....I could be very wrong though. I know all the KE struts can swap hubs if you retain the bearings for that particular strut. Report
