Ruts Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Guys and girls .. can anyone recommend a good (non-expensive) auto trimmer or suggest where I might find soem decent moulded carpets ... I know the moulded ones don't always fit quite right .... but that one is for the *cough splutter* nissan *cough sneeze* Quote
Medicine_Man Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 There is a place that does moulded car carpets, will have to have a scrounge of my reciepts.. Quote
Super Jamie Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 www.tru-fit.com.au seriously though, they're not the best. can you get your original carpet and cut your own out of outdoor carpet? cheaper and will last longer Quote
Medicine_Man Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 My carpets were new moulded carpets, you just have to trim the edges off to help make it fit.. Will hunt down the reciept tonight, think they are on the south side of brisbane.. Quote
Ruts Posted March 21, 2005 Author Report Posted March 21, 2005 can you get your original carpet and cut your own out thats the problem - the crappy factory carpet doesnt even fit properly - it is seriously at least an inch too narrow on both the drivers and passengers side Quote

demuire Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 On a sort of related topic (didn't know if I should start a new thread or pin it on the end of this like I'm doing now) anyone know where to get roof linings? Or hood linings, whatever they're called, the thing that goes in the roof of the car :D Quote
Medicine_Man Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Any auto upholsterer should be able to do it for you fook.. Quote
demuire Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Ah. So you can't buy like pre-made ones (like carpets)? Quote
Ruts Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 generally no - they have to fit little clips etc on the back of the fabric to help affix it to the roof and that will need to be tailored to your roofline - and probably use your old clips if they are still ok Quote
demuire Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Ah righty-o. Didn't even know there were clips :D I think the one in the car at the moment is one of those suspended ones. Quote
