Hey,information About The 2t Gearbox

hello all

i actually have a daihatsu charmant but its the same chassis engine ,well almost everything.

anyway

in my friend's book its says that the charmant with the 1600 cc engine is the 2t engine

now i need a straight answer to be sure.is it the 2t engine in it

if it does.that means that its a T gearbox right?

can i have somekind of pictures with the gearbox in it with the 2t bellhousing to send to the seller to be sure

how can i identify the gearbox?,is there any code that i can tell him to search on it?

thats the thing i can't go and see the gearbox..its somewhere far its a dude whos going to see it

Well, since the charmant was more or less modeled off the corolla i'd inclined to say yes it would have the 2t

But on that notice it'd be something around the '78 model you'll be looking at - the earlier models used the 4k (1290cc) and the later ones had the 3a (1452cc).

i just noticed that the charmant did come with the 2T but the thing is all of them are automatic.soo

but the seller that found me one..he says its from a 1600cc charmant but its a normal clutch.not hydrolic.

its not a T GB right?

Hi. Charmants came with both 2t and 4a so a 1600 could be either one. I have seen a couple of 2t ones with auto and a 4a one with a t50 gearbox and hydro clutch. Couldn`t you get the seller to send you a picture?
