Jap diffs: ke1 and early ke2 had B code. Late ke2, ke3, kp61 and ke7 had U code and kp60+ 62 are X -code 5.6" U and B axle splines interchange but not the X code splines. There was a Finnish shop selling new 6" lsd centers. Forgot the name but will probably pop upp when I least expect it ; )

Hi. kp6 hubs are straight swap. ke3 hubs need a different bearing as said. . Id look into using kp61 brake disc and caliper as theyre bigger and better. I don't know if brackets fit strut Cheers .

early ke20s are B , later ones are U, Did some Research some years ago and found that U heads should fit in your B housing using B (original) axels U : late ke20, ke30, ke70, AL25, kp61

Since Your 79 Corolla is a ke30 there wont be any location issues. Same shifter location as kp6# A wide range of corollas were made in 79` ;)
