Hey guys, I'm sure you've heard on the news that we'll run out of fuel over xmas. Well its true. I just went to fill my car up and my 20lt jerry can and found the first two servos I visited had run out of premium while the third told me when they run out that's it.

So if you can make sure you fill up before its all gone.

Jon.

wow, your quick jon :)

i found out diesel was running low sunday last week :y:

anyway, if you talk to people in the know, theres *** heaps sitting in tanks where it gets pumped out of the carrier ships, they just gotta process it, and it seems caltex is having issues processing, but up here, theres only one refinery, BP, then they sell it to the others who process it, so i don't think BP is gonna have an issue with running out of fuel.

could be wrong though, and why does your car need premium anyway jon?

I only burn the good stuff. Like I leak the good stuff. I guess if worse comes to worse I can empty the tanks of 9 of my other cars.

I feel it runs better on 98 and I get more out of a tank. Is it a crime for me to do what I wanna do with my money and my car!!

well no, not yet....

but if i had my way....

just seems wasteful

i used to run 95 in my old shitter, then i wound some advance out of it and went back to 91 and the difference was negigible.

the van i have now shits all over that car for power and economy it seems, and its had nothing done to it.

I had a good talk to a guy at the local shell just before, Caltex & whoever it delivers to is running out/is out of fuel, All other servo's are feeling a crunch because they are going over the quota they are normally faced with (more customers - less fuel), The one that shell is getting low on is v-power and they are not running out of fuel at all.

The caltex just down from me is completely out.

wonder how long it will be until they fix the fire damage at caltex

oh, and to further that, BP who refines it all and passes it off to everyone, will have excess amounts of refined oil ready to be additivised so any servo that is going over their quota shouldnt have an issue getting more so long as there are trucks to deliver it and they can produce enough themselves.
