Smithius Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 Do Ke70 struts bolt straight into a KE38 (KE55) without any modification? I'm after a definant answer before i go out and get some. At the moment i have Coilovers with R31 brakes and I'm not really a fan of the ride height and the hardness so i want to go back to standard type struts. Also i have 13 inch mags that i want to run so need smaller brakes (yeah i know it sounds strange) Cheers for all your help in advance Matthew Quote
Taz_Rx Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 KE55 and KE70 Girlock calipers are the same. Don't quote me, but I think '70 struts are also a bit longer. Quote
towe001 Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Ke70 struts are shorter I wouldn't really bother unless its a case of have to The calipers are more or less the same - they can be swapped. So are the rotors same with the wheel bearings ke70 shocks are shorter then the ke55/ke3x - but as from Monroe sizing their both a T1 or approx 39mm wide ke70 springs are narrower - but i don't remember if their shorter as well the top hat has to be swapped over to the ke55/ke3x one - the bolts on the ke70 top hat are in a different location. I think you'd be better off hunting down either t18 or ae86 struts cause of their bigger diameter tubing (51mm or so, instead of 48mm) giving a bigger range of shocks Quote
