This is something we've been talking about in Tassie for a couple of years now.

 

Caught this little fella on the weekend.....

 

 

No bump on the head, AKA black.....

 

 

But deffinate yellow anal fin!.....

 

 

So basically our local bream have cross bred!!!!

These are in most of our northern rivers.

 

Opinions?

does it have three eyes like on the simpsons??

Thats pretty strange actually...

 

Will have to watch out next time we go fishing to see if anything strange comes up like that, I must admit, after fishing for years you just get used to looking at one thing or the other and throwing them back, I never think to have a good hard look.

 

Do you catch many like that down your way? or is that a one off?

Heard about a lot. First one myself or my mate have actually caught/seen.

would be interesting to see how many you catch (do you fish alot?) over a period of time and see if more appear as time goes by.

 

Might even be something the CSIRO are interested in.

Yeah go fishing most weekends if I can.

 

Our Bream are also pretty illusive. Compared to them being everywhere in say Qld.
