Yeah i bought that ute done, had 200sx brakes and calipers on the front holden disks and 300zx calipers on the rear, stopped stupidly well, very scary watching the misses fishtailing up the road over 100km/hr but she seemed to be able to handle it well, think her best et was 13.2, i used to manage 12.50s in same tune but i had a bit more experience getting it off the line and with swift gear changes (although i munched 2 boxs to her 0 lol)

Here is a race from back in the day, she spins the thing passed 330feet hahah, note the ke20 still wins, stock 13bt, stock boost, 155x12x60 tires :D

big lol. Dragging the wife.

sweet new ride.

edit:...your power cruise videos are nutta.

Been doing some more sanding and buffing and re-assembly on the CA18DET KE20, its very dirty in these pics as the last bit i buffed was the roof but you get the idea. Still got half the bonnet and passenger door and guard to go

I am now on the home stretch with this car, need to have it out of the shed by friday as i have a wild mini coming in for some work. Car now rolls on 14" corona rims and 185x14x70 series hercules whitewalls, this required ke30 front brakes, some mods to the spring seats (lol) and adjusting the radius rods to clear along with king superlows the front is now sorted.

I bought a KE55 diff on friday night from a rollaclub member (legend) and after finally getting axles out (imagine 2 large chains, a large steel shed upright and a forklift plus chain jacks :P) to my suprise i found they are exactly the same length as the ones in the borg warner KE20 diff in the car. The only difference in length is from bearing to flange, with the 55 drums on the overall width looks to have increased by maybe 30-40mm, i have not measured as my desired wheel/tyre combo fits with no issues.

I mucked around with a few different leaf setups and finally found one that sits the diff about 2" from the bump and at a height i am happy with.

Here is a dodgy camera pic, this is before i reset the leafs lower. Really need to get it out in the sun for a look, should be driving by the weekend.

Yeah its been good fun so far, i still have to pull the engine out and paint the bay, hide the wiring and tidy up but that can wait a few months. There is still a few gremlins with the shifter and i need to cut and run the exhaust under the diff. My 3 cyl suzuki is just about to kick the bucket so this will become the new daily.

haha good ol suzuki's should be good then bud good luck hope it all works out 4 ya man then when you get it running and if ya ever sell it let me know what kinda price you want for it!!!

i have heard ca's have a tendancy to do head gaskets!!

Got some more done on this last night, interior panels painted, rear quarter rubbers restored and glass back in, new parcel shelf made, rear seat covered and back in, orig door cards cleaned up and re-installed, tonight i need to paint the lower dash section, put the front windscreen in and re-assamble the passenger door. might even start making brackets for the bucket seats. Will get some pics soon

Bucket seats are in dash painted, awaiting new dash pad, front window in etc progressing nicely until it came time to fix the shifter issue. Looks like the detent spring inside the auto is shagged so its most probably engine / box out and enginebay paint and detail time while i'm at it, annoying because i wanted to take it for a drive to keep the motivation going, good because it will be completely finished on first drive. ah well

there is always going to be those little gremlins that will hold it up aye

oh well she'll be going by the end of the weekend if ya have enough time 2 work on it it shouldnt be that hard to pull the motor gearbox out or maybe i am kidding myself lol
