Doogs Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 hey I'm very new to this whole rolla scene will be getting my rolla back in couple of days but i really want a ke20just unsure of the interior size like I'm over 6foot tall and not the skinnyest person out just wondering if my dreams are crushed because of my size. My mate has a datto 1200 coupe i fit in the snugly just wondering the comparison between the two??? :) When I was searching for my Ke20 I came across one in Queensland that was owned by a bloke who was quite tall. He had modified the seat rails so they were longer and he could have more leg room, and then apparantly he could be comfortable when driving. That said, I am unsure how tall he was and how much head room he had. Would you like me to measure the height from the roof to the seat ? Quote
KE ping it real Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) I love corollas too and i am also 6foot and not a skinny fellow (far from it) My experience is with ke30-55s and what i have discovered that as long as you have a coupe with longer doors, its not too much of an issue. I have a coupe which i am building and quite comfortable to get in and out of and fine while I'm in it where as the 55 sedan i have is a squeeze getting in and out (due to the shorter doors) but fine once I'm in it (aftermarket steering wheel doesnt exactly help though) I can only imagine it will be a similar situation for the 20s but best bet would be to find one or someone that has one and see how you go I hope that helps :) Edited March 12, 2009 by KE ping it real Quote
Rolliac Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Dude I’m 6.2 feet tall and I drive a KE10 every day of the week. In the 10 the seats don’t even recline and there’s no head rests. I would not want to drive from Brisbane to Sydney and back but would do it if I had too. I let my mate drive it and he’s about 6 foot and probably 100kg. He looked like donkey Kong in Mario kart. Yeah it was funny but cool and he loves my car. If you simply must have comfort get a bigger car. Quote

philbey Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Hahahha that is like donkey kong. same for me, 6' 3 and drive a ke16. Piece of piss. Quote
coln72 Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Have found that some ke20 seats have two sets of mounting holes so they can be moved back on the runners. I'm just under 6' and weigh 90 odd kg and I fitted inside even with my helmut on. Quote
Doogs Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Lol I feel suitably dwarfed ! (I am about 177cm) Sounds like being big in a little rolla really is not to much of a problem (especially if you love them enough). Quote
Queen20v Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 You're more than welcome to come and try out both the 20 and 25 if you'd like. I have a mate who is about 6ft and he sits comfortably in the back of the 25 every now and then. Quote
