sidewaysvc Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 a mate wants to build a burnout machine for summernats (KE70) :y: supercharged ecotec possible even as stupid as a gen 3 Quote
mattman Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 yeah a supercharged ecotec should fit as the 3.8l buick engines fit easy enough. Would just be the height of the engine but there woulsd also be alot of fabrication involved in mounting it but sounds like a sik idea let us know what you end up doin i think the super 6 would be very differnt. Hiro Protagonist Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 a mate wants to build a burnout machine for summernats (KE70) :y: supercharged ecotec possible even as stupid as a gen 3 Asking whether or not something is possible for a burnout machine is stupid, unless you have a budget. With enough money, ANYTHING is possible, especially if you don't have to worry about roadworthy. Quote
toyota_ae71 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 I thought with the summernats etc you had to have a "road worthy" car?? Mate has a v8 powered ta22 and honestly it was done a bit roughly and they wouldnt accpet him. But that's only what i've heard, don't quote me. Quote
sidewaysvc Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 Yeah mate that is correct it doesnt need to be 'street legal' but it does have to be safe like you can't put a 500ci motor in a standard mini moke and think u will be aloud to go in the burnout comp and summernats i don't think so! because the thing is likely to bend and twist in all sorts of funny shapes. Taz_Rx Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Why not just use one of the earlier S pack factory supercharged motors!? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SUPERCHARGED-V6-3-8...A1%7C240%3A1318 Quote
