Hi guys and girls. as u may remember i was going to build a ke20 . I had posted pictures of the bare shell and set myself a year to build it. In the meantime my lower back has been giving me grief.

To cut a long story short , my girlfriend and i were driving out one night to pick up some pizzas, and as we were passing a MacDonalds i noticed a mustard ke20 parked in the car park of the maccas. i did a hard left, the gf shit herself and said what the hell, then she realised . I pulled in next to it and started eyeballing it badly. It had a smashed front. At first i thought it was dumped. had no reg on it either. I said to the gf shit that thing could come up alright. She said leave your number on it. Which i put on a bit of papper under the wiper arm. Within 3mins a young guy rang me and said he is interested in selling it, cos it was a one owner in gr8 condition when he got it but he ran up the back of a brand new XR6 (he had no insurance).

 

2 days later i bent him on price and got an absolute bargain. It needs a little work, but nothing really too hard. The radiator support is a little bent but i think me and dad will be able to straighten it out easily. I have a spare front which i will put on the car EG: bonnet , bumper , grille RHF gaurd and the lower valance. Interior is quite clean . Its a little dirty and could do with some vinyl cleaner on it . This thing will be my daily cruiser now. It wont be immaculate but will turn out very tidy.

 

Unfortunately i can't post pictures of it yet as my girlfriend went back home to america for a month and i gave her my camera cos hers was on the blink. I will try lend another camera and get pics up asap. This makes it my 6th corolla and now my gf is definetly convinced i have an addiction to rollas :)

na paint is pretty good, might just spray the new front on it for now , then ill see how i feel.

Glad to hear you've saved a 20 from being wrecked. Bamboo too which is a great classic colour. Will look forward to photos and to seeing this corolla being restored.

it wont be restored , just cared for and repaired. It is very clean, and just fell into the wrong hands to be admired. But now i have , just rang dad and told him, he said what another car. He was impressed with my ke10 find , and he will be impressed with this find also . I'm so happy tonight

yeah thanks , i am flat out . I took the damaged front off it tonight , and straightened the radiator support, and starting putting the new front on it. I got impatient and couldnt wait till i got a camera. I need to borrow one tom night then ill post pics of it and the damaged goods . Looked alot worse than it was the damage
