Hi I'm just wondering if anyone knows, what size thread the standard corolla gear knob shifter has , for a ke20 original 4spd box? Its been a while since i done measurements on bolts . Can any one help me quickly on thread size for the gear knob?

omg this one looks exactly like the one i picked up 3 days ago in melbourne. Except min had a smashed in front, which is now nearly fixed thanks to the donor car i had . Very nice find :(

yeah thanks , i am flat out . I took the damaged front off it tonight , and straightened the radiator support, and starting putting the new front on it. I got impatient and couldnt wait till i got a camera. I need to borrow one tom night then ill post pics of it and the damaged goods . Looked alot worse than it was the damage

it wont be restored , just cared for and repaired. It is very clean, and just fell into the wrong hands to be admired. But now i have , just rang dad and told him, he said what another car. He was impressed with my ke10 find , and he will be impressed with this find also . I'm so happy tonight

na paint is pretty good, might just spray the new front on it for now , then ill see how i feel.

Hi guys and girls. as u may remember i was going to build a ke20 . I had posted pictures of the bare shell and set myself a year to build it. In the meantime my lower back has been giving me grief. To cut a long story short , my girlfriend and i were driving out one night to pick up some pizzas, and as we were passing a MacDonalds i noticed a mustard ke20 parked in the car park of the maccas. i did a hard left, the gf shit herself and said what the hell, then she realised . I pulled in next to it and started eyeballing it badly. It had a smashed front. At first i thought it was dumped. had no reg on it either. I said to the gf shit that thing could come up alright. She said leave your number on it. Which i put on a bit of papper under the wiper arm. Within 3mins a young guy rang me and said he is interested in selling it, cos it was a one owner in gr8 condition when he got it but he ran up the back of a brand new XR6 (he had no insurance). 2 days later i bent him on price and got an absolute bargain. It needs a little work, but nothing really too hard. The radiator support is a little bent but i think me and dad will be able to straighten it out easily. I have a spare front which i will put on the car EG: bonnet , bumper , grille RHF gaurd and the lower valance. Interior is quite clean . Its a little dirty and could do with some vinyl cleaner on it . This thing will be my daily cruiser now. It wont be immaculate but will turn out very tidy. Unfortunately i can't post pictures of it yet as my girlfriend went back home to america for a month and i gave her my camera cos hers was on the blink. I will try lend another camera and get pics up asap. This makes it my 6th corolla and now my gf is definetly convinced i have an addiction to rollas :)

this may sound stupid, but how is it possible to tell if your vehicle is a ke11. Is it actually stamped on the body number. Cos my car i have purchased has ke10 - B . Does the dash B mean its a ke11 , or is it a ke10 . I own another two ke10s and both of them just have ke10 on the body number. I'm wonder what the dash B stands for on the one i just purchased . Even the original owners manual has it listed as a ke10. i have been told by some that its a ke11 by the grill and tail lights but I'm not so sure now .

nice build. is the engine going to be a problem though being slightly off centre. do u think u may get drive line shudder or vibration?

ur gun pressure seems like it was too high. maybe need to polish it see how the paint comes up. if ur happy with it leave it. if not rub it back again with 1200 or 1400 , mix a little paint with ur clear and respray it quickly using a lower pressure, this will help lots. And a tip is if u can get it glossy off the gun and not get it to run then ur on target to see ur arse shinning in the paint job

yeah and thats if u can find a half decent shell in the states, looking at least 20gs for a fast back today that needs total resto. My gf is an american and leaves for the states in march, i will be having her keep an eye out for rollas there . She thinks i have a major illness loving rollas.

that radiator they gave you looks to be a ke20 one. the way the outlets are designed and the height of the radiator. ke10s ran a shorter radiator and the 20s ran taller.

hi is your brake upgrade from hoppers stoppers? if so how do you find they work or is it still to be road tested? secondly your adjustable k mac setup where did u get it, and was it much modifying to fit to the original strut assembly

ok cool , i went to check the site where i found the strut tops to suit 71 to 74 corolla . they have removed them . obviously no longer available or i can't find them again

ok so then they will do all the legal welding and stuff like that
