put pressure on the tie rod end. Use a piece of timber jack it up under the tie rod end till it touches. don't jack the vehicle from this piont as u will bend the rod. place enough pressure on it in an upward direction , then try undoing the nut. it will work .

try a cable place, get em to put a new insert cable, thats only if the outer housing isnt frayed or binded. shouldnt cost more than 50 bucks. i had mine modified for a ke10 for 20 bucks in melb

bigger engine wouldnt make a difference, if the final drive is still the same, will still rev high! try changing the diff then youll see a massive difference, and maybe a 5spd even better

ah no way , ive had nothing but trouble getting bushes, the only ones that seem readily available in melb are the rear shackle bushes. use the falcon rear shackle bushes for the front eye bush, which they say are available but are the wrong ones that they supply if u need more info email me and ill give u my ph no so i will answer any question i can.

yes the ones i got that were wrong were superpro. the only thing i got out of super pro was a bloody sticker :P

i am currently replacing all the suspension bushes on my ke10. i had no trouble finding rear shackle bushes in nolathene. When i asked to order a set of front eye bushes they arrived but werent the correct size. we double checked with the manufacturer and they claim they are the correct ones. the size i received were : 50mm diameter at the bush end 10mm eye bolt hole the ones that come out of my car were : 35mm diameter at the bush end 8mm or so eye bolt hole I'm just wondering if anyone out there has had the same problem. : Is it a manufacturers fault listing a wrong part no. : or does this part fit a jap model and not an aust model : or is it just the shop i bought it off stuffing it up. i over come the problem by using xd - xf rear shackle bushes ( rubber ones ). had to cut a few mm off the ends and use a crush tube, but they fitted perfectly. Most of the time spent was cuttting the rubber straight and carefully so as to not loose a finger . i am curious as to why they list it but its a far bigger size?

do u need to leave the leaf spring in or take it out completely? u say remove then u say it will dive excessively under braking if u remove a leaf or two? do u need heavier coils from a ke20?

Grinding Down A Caliper To Fit A Wheel On
Ke20nut replied to KE ping it real's topic in General Mechanical
so ur life is only worth $520 . good to hear even better if u take someone elses life with the $520. Never grind calipers. the manufacturer wouldnt put all the metal into it if it weren't needed. they would have saved thousands of dollars building cars if they took 10grams of metal off each caliper they added to a model. the metal is there cos it is helps with the structural integrity of the caliper. so don't grind em ;) :( -
hi am just wondering about lowering the front end of my ke10. it has a macpherson strut set up with a tranverse leaf spring. I have been told different things about lowering it. question is do i need to get a new transverse leaf spring made up or will it go low enough if i just change the coils to 40 mm lowered. i was told the transverse may not allow the front to rest down enough , hence meaning the coils maybe loose on the macpherson strut where they seat . is this true and has anyone out there lowered theres. And i don't mean lowering it by chopping the springs or removing the leaf spring and throwing it away . i lost a mate in a car with chopped springs was the main cause of the accident. your help will be appreciated
