hey guys

 

i got 4 speed ke20 and want to swap it to 5 speed

the 5 speed came out of ke55 will i need the splines be the same

and will i need to shorten/lengthen drive shaft

Pretty sure the 4 speed in the KE20's are the same as the KE30/55 4 speeds.

 

SO id say its a pretty good chance it will all bolt in.

May run into issues as early blocks have a bolt hole that doesnt line up with later gear boxes. It misses out by half a hole :)

It's only if you had a KE70 5 speed the extension housing has the shifter in a different position and you

would need to either swap over to a KE20/30/55 extension housing OR, cut a whole into your transmission

tunnel!
