June 7, 200917 yr comment_350588 the 2spd toyoglide was also used in the ke30, ke35 and early ke55s, all of which still had the 3k engine as standard. does the year of the box matter that much?? Report
June 8, 200917 yr comment_350652 I don't think its the year of the box he is after. He wants to know the approx time (if ever) that the Toyoglide was fitted to a KE20 so he can date the year of his car. His KE20 seems to be like my old one, its missing the body ID plates so no easy way of ID'ing the year made ;) Report
June 8, 200917 yr comment_350732 WHat years were they built? 70-73? It would be in that range, the Toyoglide would have been present all through the range. Report

June 22, 200917 yr Author comment_354123 I have narrowed it down to 1973, by comparing chassis numbers to other KE20. I know its before 11/73, but I'm guessing its 10/73 because the Chassis number is only 9,500 earlier than a KE20 made in November 1973. its really just a guess from here as to whether or not AMI were making up to or in excess off 10,000 cars a month.
