Aw11 Mr2 4age To Rwd Conversion (AE71/AE86)

You can use 4A-C engine mounts on the AW11 MR2 4AGE motor, but the passenger side engine mount will require some modification. The reason you will need to modify the mount is so that it clears the oil return sandwitch plate and lines. You will also find that you will need to hunt for some longer bolts for the engine block to gearbox mounts. You can use your origional gearbox mount and crossmember.

Hmm, I'm surprised, mine clears just fine? I've got the return too (but I don't have the metal pipe that goes to the top, it just ends at the banjo)

or you can do what travis edwards did, and make up a custom mount and use cortina rubbers. think your mounts through first though, travis has to take the engine out to change the oil filter :moon:

Why muck around with custom mounts when it takes 2 seconds to shave a few bits off some 4A-C engine mounts.. You only need to do this if you have the oil return / sandwitch plate anyway..

it's a bit different putting it in a ke10, the crossmember mounting points are ALOT closer together. it would even be different putting it into a ke30/55

this thread is based on a conversion for an AE71/AE86, probably best not confusing people..
