You need to get under for a looky.

Get both front wheels off the ground and support the car on some stands.

Check your rack ends by sitting down in front of a wheel turning it a few degrees to the left and right, back and forth. You'll hear the little clunk if they're stuffed. You'll feel it as well.

If that's not your problem, grab a prybar and check the usual suspects... CVs, tierods, balljoints, swaybar bushes etc... Also check the strut tops as I've seen a few flogged out before but mostly the rears.

Rack end wear is relatively common in the 92's... But that can depend on the K's, and how and where its been driven.

Could also be eminating from a loose lower balljoint within the upright. despite the fact its a tapered fit, the hole can sometimes become elongated, and no amount of tightening will improve it....

Could also be the CV's check the little black rubbery things that are closest to the gearbox, if either one is split you might have contaminated grease making the CV's wear alot quicker than expected.

Is it a constant knock, a knock only when turning, a knock when decelerating or accelerating a knock when braking? Does it sound like a wheel knock or a engine knock? Sorry for the questions its just to help eliminate what it is.

tightend the front control arms, thats not it. steering rack seems fine, strut seems ok but still questioning it.. my main suspect is the sway bar because it has some custom job because the control arms are from a different model and all the links including the d-bush links are all custom and its a siilar sound to then i put heavy duty sway bar links in the front of my other car. also i can get the noise to hang arond if i do circles around a round-a-bout
