as for brakes, have you asked project MU ? they are pretty good

Have you researched the Hilux/Corona/Peugot brake and strut upgrade? There's plently of info around. Get some decents inserts and springs or convert to coilovers with the diy kits or send them away and get them converted. Have a look at my project thread for a little info.

As RedKE30 said - the RT132/XT130 Corona strut/peugeot disc/hilux caliper is a pretty common upgrade. I have detailed my version of it in my race car thread.
