BUZ440 Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Alright Justin, here is what you are going to do, get some bricks and get that crossmember off the grass, raise the gearbox so that it is level, leave the passenger side mount as is in position unbolt the driver side engine block mount jack the engine to the desired position/angle use carboard and make a template so that it sits on the mounts, there should be 4 peices, have these then cut out of 6mm mild steel and have welded, or have block mount, and two rails made as one piece of mild steel, and have bent accordingly, then have the last part welded on with a hole for the bolt to go through, spray some paint on it, now fit repeat on the other side and have engine jacked to suit, how easy does that sound, this should go in the conversion thread, otherwise i can do it have the mounts made up in a day, I'm sure you have the resources tho thoughts? SLW42 Posted March 5, 2011 Author Report Posted March 5, 2011 yeah sounds like a winner to me mate, will definately have a go at it, also gonna have to shorten the length of the mounts so that it sits alot lower than what it is now, will be getting alot of measurements to throw around aswell cause i want about 20-25mm from crossmember to bottom of sump.... Cheers for coming around today to throw some ideas around mate much appreciated Quote
BUZ440 Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) too easy mate, trial the one i have mentioned above, once it you know it sits in their, redo the mounts to have it lowered to the desired height, at least you know it will clear everything going off the first fitment, then sell them off get crispy around and trial that tree, haha Edited March 5, 2011 by NISROLA Quote
SLW42 Posted March 5, 2011 Author Report Posted March 5, 2011 hahahaha yeah deffinately try that tree out hahahaha, yeah will be getting ontop of that idea aye, once again thanks man Quote
