I was doing some research myself the other day on cut and shut manifolds and noticed that when this is performed the pcv into the intake is blocked off as they run through the manifold and out into the throttle body.

 

This means that the engine will not be venting unless you have a vented catch can or have stupidly drill a hole through the pipe and into the manifold.

But if you drill it through into the intake itself then when the throttle is closed the engine will be under vacuum.

i have heard u can run a pipe from the rocker breather and join it inside ur intake piping before the t/b and after the filter

i don't know a lot about this kind of stuff but is this throttle body conversion similar to what your talking about. the small photo of the underside of the throttle body there is some metal cut away. just ignore me if its not. (might have to register to view it)
