Ae012r Snorkel Removal

Featured Replies

Removing the snorkel from my AE102R...was a bit tricky but i have it off now. Now i noticed that through that hole where most people put their pod is a black box. What is it? It's just inside the front wheel guard.

It's an Air Resonator, keeps a whole lot of air available so when you decide to put your foot down it has enough air to match the fuel injecting into the engine...

That's the whatsit :2thumbs:

It's not really that hard, take the battery and the fuse-boxes out will make a bit more room, and turning the wheels all the way to the left gives you a bit more room around the wheel-well as well. Should only be two or three bolts that hold the resonator in, but might be handy to have a second person around in case you need a spanner on each end - kinda hard to do something in the engine bay at the same time as your head is stuck under the guard.
