gunay85 Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Hey guys, in a serious pickle and would appreciate some advice.. Recently purchased an 06 ascent seca from an auction and it only came with the 1 key which is grey and has no buttons... apparently an emergency key ( yes yes I'm a n00b ) after finding out its supposed to have master keys i've managed to get in contact with the old owner of the vehicle who told me he threw both master keys out as he no longer had the vehicle  :P :D so I'm wondering what other ways there are of getting another set of master keys that give me the ability to utilise keyless entry etc. Cheers Quote
Medicine_Man Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 You would be better off getting in touch with Toyota or possibly a locksmith about that. It all depends on how the security of the vehicle works, Can you start it with just that key? Or is it still immobilised? If you can start it with that key, Then possibly you just need another key fob programmed to the keyless entry system.. Quote

New Engine Ecu & Keys, you wont have much change out of $2000 give or take. Unfortunately, its a no win situation. Take it to your nearest Toyota dealer. : ( Edit: If you don't have a fully functioning Master key, you cannot reprogram a new master key. Quote
