4ac Engine Number Location

hey all

 

anyone able to tell me where the engine number is on a 4ac in an ae71. have had a look and can't see it, but clearly I am blind! ;)

on the passenger side at the end of the block facing the firewall, vertically down

It should be stamped on the block between the distributor and starter motor. It would be much easier to describe with a photo but its the best I can explain...

Yep it's under the dizzy, directly behind the last welsh plug on the passenger side.
