blunny Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Gday all, Flirting with the idea of getting into "Rollas and need to be educated! I come from a blue oval back ground & love MK 1 Escorts (had a twin cam for years) but am thinking of straying over to the orient after great experiences with our Hiace / Liteace vans. I have found a 4 door manual that I like the look of so am thinking big brakes, superlites, coilovers, 4AGE and those cool bolt on flare things. I want to do sprint days and have a cool after hours ride I can use for winding back road cruising. Where do I start? Suspension and brakes, then wheels (I like the JDM look that gets featured in the UK "Retro" magazine). Do Willwood or someone do a kit? What parts are interchangeable between the models? Does Sprinter gear fit OK? Who does brake kits for 4 wheel disc conversions etc? Which 5 speed should I get? Is 4AGE the best way to go (I like the idea of big revs and N/A) Will a beams motor fit? Who does conversion kits etc? Are there any Corolla specialist on the E side of Melb? I know I have asked many questions but time is against me as I am looking at the car tomorrow and she has people lined up to look (?) Thanks in advance. Quote
philthy30 Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Will a beams motor fit? http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=33512 They fit like a glove any more questions about the 3sge conversion just ask Phil Quote
RedKE30 Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Peter Robinson runs a good early model corolla wrecker, he's in Oakleigh. Sam-Q is a good person to speak to about custom fab etc. Quote
