damo702002 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Hey guys i,m new to toyota stuff but am just doing a turbo 3tc into an early corolla wagon and i,m chasing up turbo ex manifold bolt patterns for something thats a bolt on deal. Some guys have said 18rg!!! but others say only the 3tgte is a bolt on t3 turbo manifold. Any input by someone that knows would very greatly appreciated. Cheers Damo Quote
Taz_Rx Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 I'm pretty sure T series and R series motors, while the look very similar have different head flanges. What I am sure on though is that you can use the 3tgte manifold on the 3tc. The turbo flange isn't a T3 tough, the CT20/26's have a pretty much square flange. Saying that though you can make an adapter pretty easy to run a T3 turbs. :P Quote

irokin Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Grab a cheap SR20 manifold and a set of 3T/2T extractors. Cut manifold flange off SR20 manifold and 3T extractors then have someone weld SR20 manifold onto 3T extractor flange. Job done! No kidding, they line up almost millimeter perfect. The only problem with this plan is that most cheap SR20 manifolds are stainless and you're probably only going to find mild steel 3T extractors. What you could do is get the 3T flange and send it to someone like 6boost and have him weld it onto one of his SR20 mild steel manifolds. Probably wont get much/any change from $1000 but you'll get the turbo flange pattern you want, top mount or low mount and one of the better manifolds around. Quote
