Jono.C Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 g'day all, been after a ke10 for a while for a project. Had a guy send me a message saying he has a 'ke10' but side on it looks different.. its still sedan style but the boot looks longer and a slightly different angle.. what I'm wondering is.. can anyone tell me what is the differences between ke10 and ke11 body wise? i know with celica's the last number partially dictates engine.. ie ra65 iss 22re where as ra63 is 18rg cheers in advance.. here is the photo also.. Same goes with the Wagons, no air vents on KE16's only KE18's. This one doesn't have them, they're either bogged up which is common as they rust, or it's a KE10/KE10B. It's also got later style indicators, so it's most likely a 10B No body lines are different between 10's and 11's, all panels are interchangeable. Sprinters (KE15/17) have different doors, window rake is different. Just look at the chassis number. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 i know with celica's the last number partially dictates engine.. ie ra65 iss 22re where as ra63 is 18rg No. With ALL toyotas the first letter in the chassis code indicates what engine it has. IE KE10 has a K series motor, RA65 and RA63 celicas both have R series motors, JZA80 supras have a JZ series motor.....etc etc etc. Quote

Ke, Ae, Te, Ta, Ra etc.. i meant the last number.. as in ke1X Quote
philbey Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with it does it? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with it does it? Not the engine no. Sorry jono I misunderstood your initial question. Numbers have nothing to do with the motor. Quote
Jono.C Posted June 4, 2010 Author Report Posted June 4, 2010 thanks a lot man (: maybe i should just ask you my questions.. you seem to answer them all (: Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) thanks a lot man (: maybe i should just ask you my questions.. you seem to answer them all (: I don't know heaps about KE1X and KE2X chassis' so you wouldn't have got an accurate response like that from Philbey if you did. Plus you tend to ask them during business hours while I'm online :abuse: Edited June 4, 2010 by Taz_Rx Quote
