I was thinking would you get any more power out of a cylinder engine if you had 2 spark plugs per cylinder insted of 1 per cylinder? irokin Posted January 31, 2004 Report Share Posted January 31, 2004 Not really. Some motors (such as the CA20E) utilise twin sparkplugs. The main reason a rotary has two is because of the length of the combustion chamber. Ruts Posted January 31, 2004 Report Share Posted January 31, 2004 some of the Honda Jazz models currently use the 2 plugs option as well - this is to ensure a full fuel burn - the plugs fire slightly out of synch to each other so the second one catches the remaining fuel/vapour a good economical system but would be a nightmare without a decent ecu Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
