Tightening rockers but don't have service manual. :D

Tried search but couldn't find anything. :D

Anyone know the gap between the rocker and valve?

BTW: I know this should be in the mechanics section, but nobody is reading there and i need an answer asap!

*Post relocated to the appropriate section*

Putting it in general discussion won't get it answered any quicker, please realise most people are at work working and probably won't have a chance to answer before they get home tonight. Please use the forums as the sections were designed..

OMG i can't believe i forgot to say what engine! :D

It's a 4K-C... :)

We took the rocker cover off to find the gap on no. 4 was much larger than the rest, trying to slowly tighten it down to atleast get rid of the annoying tapping noise. :D

don't do that

someone correct me if i'm wrong but i thought about doing that and realised that maybe the gap there is so wide because it is in mid-cycle...

btw I have the tapping noise in my 4K-C too. I adjusted mine and it still has the rattling noise so if it works for you i'll try again... I think the parts are just flogged

Nevertheless, gregories manual states:

intake 0.20mm

exhaust 0.30mm

there is a procedure in rotating the engine so that certain pistons are TDC when adjusting certain clearances, i can't remember off the top of my head, but its all in the gregories manual. Don't just adjust them all without rotating the engine.

BUY A GREGORIES MANUAL :)

If you get rid of the rattling drop a post saying so..
