He is an idiot, they are the same car with the same engine mountings. Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 He is an idiot, they are the same car with the same engine mountings. And on top of that they were factory-fitted with 4AGEs, so it's not like the engine bay was only designed to take the head of a 2AC or 4AC. Quote
andys-corolla Posted August 25, 2010 Author Report Posted August 25, 2010 so i can put it in awesome :) how do i go about getting one? Quote
Trev Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Keep an eye on ebay or your local paper for an AE82 twincam wreck. Quote
andys-corolla Posted August 25, 2010 Author Report Posted August 25, 2010 could i try wreaking yard or best not try them Quote
Trev Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 could i try wreaking yard or best not try them If they have one that goes then yes. Just so you know, you will need the following: Engine & gearbox (can use the SOHC box). Brakes, suspension & drive system. Wiring harnesses x 4. Fuel pump setup, fuel filler & fuel lines. Exhaust. Brake master (supposed to have the diversion valve inside). That is all I can think of. Quote
andys-corolla Posted August 25, 2010 Author Report Posted August 25, 2010 oh that more then i thought i just thought i have to get the engine guess i start looking for all that then then get the engine Quote
Trev Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 oh that more then i thought i just thought i have to get the engine guess i start looking for all that then then get the engine You now see why we said that it is easier to get a twincam to drive :) Quote

Trev Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 true so what enigne can i get that wont be a pain to put in of anything if possible 4ac will be a slight improvement otherwise the 4afc. Quote
andys-corolla Posted August 25, 2010 Author Report Posted August 25, 2010 so the 4ac and 4afc fit in with out changing anything Quote
Trev Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 so the 4ac and 4afc fit in with out changing anything 4ac is the larger to your engine not 100% sure what the 4afc will need but it uses the same fuel system, will have to check what brakes you have to use. Quote
andys-corolla Posted August 25, 2010 Author Report Posted August 25, 2010 ok can do that hope it fits all good Quote
