ROLLN'03 Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 All these damn engine numbers and letters......... I think i will just stick to my - 5K with K40 Quote
ancullen Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 Just Google'd it, you are correct Mr Revhead (which you probably already knew), the C60 is used in the Celica and Corolla Sportivo, the C160 is from the AE111. Quote
ancullen Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 I have just discovered that the 4E-FE was hooked up to a 6-speed transmission in the 1997-1999 Corolla G6. The transmission was the C161. 1997 Corolla G6 So what I have learned is this: AE111 - C160 EE111 - C161 ZZE123 - C60 ZZW31 (MR2 Spyder) - C65M (sequential version) So it would seem that the different numbers mean the gearbox is designed to bolt onto different engines.
