at my bunnings there are two types of paint stripper.

one is called citristrip, which is more for woods as it doesnt have any 'nasty' chemicals that will discolour your timber.

the other is a 'sparco' industrial paint stripper, which is the stronger stuff, but don't use it on timber because it will turn it grey.

a customer told me that when he used the 'sparco' stuff it actually ate through the old bog as well.

Yep, it will do that too. It only takes thin portions off at a time though (i suppose the bog is too dense for the paint stripper to penetrate the whole lot).

 

I got a 4L can of paint stripper from an auto paint shop, and it was heaps stronger than the "Motorpro??" brand i bought from K-Mart previosly.

Sweet, I've just run out so I'll try the paint store! Parents, they're good for this kind of thing lol. Sucks to be old like you guys....no it doesn't cos you have jobs and get money loL! Damn, sucks to be me lol.

man you guys are messy! i use latex gloves and let the stripper do all the work, then scrape it off and put more on if needed. lol can't say i have had it in the crack of my toes though! yeah dropsheet is a great idea :D

LOL. That's gold. :D Background of the picture, why do you have a matress on top of the car? So you were chemical stripping in that ANDusing a grinder to take it off?!? That's insane lol!
