  1. yea the clips are there for quick release, i have to take them off to get it in my driveway or to put it on a trailer etc. decided to throw up a pic of the motor all finished... sorry for the crappy phone pic. all i gotta do now is solder one plug and put some oil in it and i can crank it over to bleed the coolant... then save for a tune :P:( also a pic of my oil cooler mounted.
  2. so my engine is finished. I'm just waiting on my extended sump to be finished off then i get the motor back and all systems go bolting everything to it and dropping it in the car. from there it is going to ant at kaizen garage for adaptronic and loom and then to gavin wood for a tune. ignore the huge block off plate on the sandwich plate, that was just a temporary replacement till i got my sandwich plate off my other engine which had not had the stock oil cooler. thought id post progress pics of my sump, its almost done.. getting final welds etc done to it right now. will be cleaned up and painted black for the finishing touch. inside one of the wings... holes in the top allow oil to flow into the wing while drifting one way then when a transition occurs the gate will swing open and release another half a litre of onto the bearings. what it looks like on the inside i hope it fits... lol i get it all back on monday then it starts getting everything bolted to the motor and dropped in the car. then its just adaptronic ecu and tune and its done... can't wait!!!!!
  3. hey thanks for the replies, no engine bay pic as new engine not properly fitted in the car yet. hopefully finnished mid next week. my goal for power is around 280hp atw on around 1 bar. should make that quite comfortably, will update when engine is in and tuned if people are interested.
  4. old thread love! anyone seen this thing getting round? brissy? it had the rollaclub.com sticker on the back window when i sold it so I'm surprised the guy hasnt checked it out or anything?? i miss her :):(
  5. update for old thread!! haha been like this for a few months now...almost everything suspension wise is aftermarket and adjustable... just about to put new built engine in consisting of: CA18 tomei 2lt stroker kit (forged pistons and crank and genuine new tomei piston rings) hks 264 8.5mm cams ported inlet manifold with butterflies removed and sr20de throttle body greddy t517z turbo nismo fpr splitfire coilpacks fully prepped and built including bored oil drainbacks and extended and baffled sump. arp studs and bolts everywhere full gasket and seal kit npc 5 puck sprung button clutch walbro 500hp intank pump bosch 044 motorsport external pump surge tank Adaptronic ecu plus all the new bit associated with a rebuild (water pump, pulleys, belts etc etc) comes out in HPI issue 111 so keep your eyes out for it! :)
  6. i was lucky cause i had a parts car which i could mix and match stuff from. windscreen i used a modified ke55 one, door rubbers i had in good condition, same with the rear hatch. i know that theres a wrecker down currumbin way that has a ke50 sitting in the front of their yard.. looks pretty rusted out though.
  7. hey, sorry to bring up old thread again haha. if your still curious the rotors were pretty close to 300...the lower side of it anyways. Has anyone seen this driving around or anything since i sold it? the guy was from up brisbane way. heres some pics i got just before i sold it incase anyone is interested in what it came out like all done.

    My "toy Yoda"

you got a ke50!!! nice one!! that thing is overrated compared to what mine was before i fixed her up. dunno what they were thinking with the interior detailing.... vinyl paint and marine vinyl are your friends (black of course). love to see how this turns out.
  9. hey, have you finnished the dash yet? was keen to see how it came out.
  10. haha its cool, i know geof is only having a go lol. i know you loiek your 180s haha
  11. yes resistance is futile.. come to the dark side! *evil voice* but yes they were taken at harbourtown. i work at the bunnings you see in the background :P
  12. Hey everyone, I picked this up after having sold my old rolla (ke50) a while ago and driving the old mans valiant in between. Its actually quite tidy considering. I bought it pretty much as is so the only things done so far is new Motul 4100 oil and ngk iridium spark plugs. I know it needs coilovers and yes I'm getting rid of those spew worthy side skirts haha. i know its not a rolla... but i just thought id show everyone what i ended up getting. current specs as follows: 1989 NISSAN SILVIA Ks 112,000 Engine: 1.8L of nissans finest :P -HKS SSQ Blow off valve -Pod filter -New Walbro 500hp fuel pump -New fuel line -Perishable hoses have been replaced Interior: -Pioneer CD/MP3 head unit -Boost gauge -Drift button -Nardi wheel -Crome gear knob Exterior: -New paint custom midnight blue with a pearl flake -Vertex front bar, veilside side skirts, unknown rear pods...anyone know? -15" wheels any comments/suggestions etc are very welcome :(.... i know its not really "pig spec" yet.. but its a work in progress... it will get there
  13. keep it! coolest little rolla ever. its such a multi purpose type of car... you go to the beach? no problem, the rear seats fold flat with plenty of room for a surfboard etc. hitting the town with a few mates? no problem, leave the rear seats up and it seats four people. need to overtake a truck? no problem, drop it down a gear and listen to its little heart rev (in my case anyway... 2T powah!! :)). and its a two door! can't get much more flexibility than that... practicality and the sportyness of a 2 door in one.
  14. 2t with heat wrapped extractors.
