ke70btk Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 was asked by a mate to post this up to try and get some more toyota's into this thing Our first car show for the year is fast approaching!! The All Japanese Classic day 2011 will be on Sunday 20th February. Again put together by the combined forces of the Rising Sun register and the Seven of clubs, Mazda car club of Qld. The venue is the usual place at the Earnshaw state college, Earnshaw Road, Banyo. This is about five's minutes off the M1, via the Nudgee beach exit. Gate's open at 7am and general public is from about 9am. The gates are open all day so you can arrive and leave when you feel like it. No problems if you need to work and get there later. It's a sun or rain event, so we'll go ahead regardless. Last year we got some rain and as my fellow Qlder's would agree with me at the moment, it looks like the rain will never stop!! The year cut is 1986 and earlier this year. The main arena area is for JNC's of this year back but there will be area's off the street for the later models as well. Doesn't matter if it's not finished, needs a paintjob, need's a car trailer to bring it etc, just be there if you can.Our All Japanese day in June covers everything! As per our shows policies, it is FREE! yes FREE. We don't believe that car owners that make the effort to own and bring the cars need to pay for the privilege of showing their cars!! so yes FREE to enter your car and FREE to come have a look see! A sausage sizzle and drinks will be available on the day with all proceeds going back to the school to help with projects there, so come and eat up!! Four trophies are up for grabs this year. Spectators choice Organizer's choice Sponsor's choice and a special one for us that we decided to make this year the "Ken Bloor Memorial" Trophy. Ken unfortunately passed away late last year. For those who knew Ken, not only the early Isuzu world but the early Japanese show world has a large hole that won't be filled. Not only a walking, talking Encyclopedia on Isuzu, but also a large fleet of Isuzu's and the happiest, easiest going bloke you'd ever meet! So we'll award this trophy as the best spirit of show. Hope to see you there Quote
PHATKE20S Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 I'll be there again this year.....After all, I'm a member of RSCRA so maybe I should enter a car aswell.... :bash: You should post this in the QLD sub-forum mate. Then all the local RC might spot it..... Quote
