Yeah i dunno but today i didn't seem to hear it at all. Could it be that it sat in the one spot for about two weeks and the oil hadn't been circulated?

Haha yeah i think the stereo is going to be cranked often now  :D

thanks anyway but I'm on the sunshine coast so it is a bit of a drive to your place (your in brisbane i take it)

in all honesty, if you're making any sort of power out of the engine, i'd be inclined to replace the unis anyway. having a front universal snap means your car does a pole vault, generally with disastrous results. it would suck to write your car off because of some 20 dollar bearings

the part number for jap unis is K5A517

Ok guys an update. I had a look underneath and discovered that my tailshaft bolts weren't too tight at all. and this was giving me my aforementioned diff noise. when the gearbox went back in i forgot to tighten them up. Its all good now. Unis were replaced when the car was put together so theyve only done 5000 kays.

holy crap, that ain't safe! good thing you looked in time

Yeah i was pretty scared when i discovered it. As there was quite alot of noise coming from it. The stereo ran out of volume lol. I'm still stumped as to how they came undone.
