low rolla Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 hey guys, just want to check if it is possible to run ae86 powersteering arms with xt130 struts, brakes and lca's in a ke70? i have heard some say it works and some say it doesn't so i would just like it cleared up before i buy these parts thanks Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Ae86 ps arms will bolt straight to xt130 strut tubes. Quote
Crostek Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 (edited) You may have to grind a small amount of the end of the lower control arm if you have bigger discs. The PS arms have Neg camber offset in the casting and the back of the disc hits the lower control arm. The Neg camber can be compensated by getting the XT130 lower control arms. Crostek Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 the XT130 steering arm will give you less lock yes, you are using the AE86 Power steering one? the XT130/RT132 lower control arm will push the ball joint out by 10mm or so reducer the positive camber in the AE86 power steering arms. see how the middle steering arm "AE86 PS" has the hole closer to the bottom/outside of the arm. and how the middle lower control arm which is the same as XT130 and RT132 is longer then the top KE70/AE71 one If you do a search you will also find out that you will need to goto RA40 tierod ends and tierod tubes to have the right lenght to do a wheel alignement. I have all these bits myself going into a KE70 if I don't sell it soon! Quote
