ah yeah good fun I'm sick of finding dodgy fix jobs when i was pulling crap out of the engine bay there was so much stuff held together with rope

no wonder why you paid $20 good luck with it!!!! I personally would have found a straighter shell and started with that

But keep into it and it'll come good, just check if it has any chassis damage, if so throw the car away and find a new one :yes:

Id second that, alot of work for that old girl, but good practice

 

Nathan had a shell with no motor which looked pretty clean, he wasnt after that much either and needed it gone

ive checked it and its all good the radiator saport need a really small bit of straightening but not all that much

I have started stripping the paint off the panels only got 3 more doors to go then its all ready for priming.

Ill put some pics up tomorow of the progress with that.

If you can get the car high enough on axle stands you should be able to unbolt the x member and drop the engine on a trolly jack.

 

 

Thats how I did it with my old GT4 dropped the car right down onto the x-member unbolted the x memebr with the motor and box still attached to it, jacked it up as high as possible and towed it out with our other car, although still makes it difficult to move anywhere else but atleast its out of the car.

 

 

Car is looking good mate good to see its all stripped and some of the panels getting ready for some paint.
