ok so ive finally decided I'm going with the ca18det in my ke10 i would like some help with the brake and suspension setup on these ke10 as i know there will be alot of mods.

what would be the best brake and suspension setup??

i was thinking of using the s13 front cut brakes and suspension is this the best way to go?

i really don't want to go bigger than 14inch rims

please help!

thanking you in advance!!

G day mate your car will certainly fly with a turbo ca in it once it's done, for brakes I'd advise looking into ae86 stuff then there is big brake upgrades for them available or try using the Hopper Stoppers kit.

The only thing is you will have to convert your PCD to 4x114.3 or 5x114.3, cause you will have to upgrade you diff down the line and it'll be alot easier to get wheels for one PCD rather than two, and most big brake upgrades will use either 5x114.3 or 4x114.3 PCD.

There are afew diffs out there you can use, Hilux(is most common), R31 skyline diff(second most common), then there is the more frowned upon diffs like the late E series falcon i.e. EF/EL or upto vn commodore i think.

I personally will be using a el diff cause i have one in the front yard ready to be shortend for my ca18det into ke70 conversion

Hope this helps you out mate,

Cheers Justin

You'd need some sort of adapters to get s13 brakes onto a ke10. You can't swap the struts either as ke10's have 3 bolts at the bottom of the struts and nearly every other car would have 2.

You can put in a KE20 crossmember and steering rack to make steering and selection of suspension parts easier. Don't know how to do it, but you can. There are a few members that would have done it so start looking.

The ke20 front end route is the one i'm about to undertake, pulled the ke20 frot end out this morning.

Doesn't look easy.

And you have castor rod and sway brackets you need to put on and there's no holes in a ke10 for them, which means youd have to drill into the chassis..

Time for me to do more research
