Hey just wondering if anyone else has ever had this? recently my 4ag's throttle body would stick when i release the throttle which makes it stay open after letting go of the pedal. Could it be the bushings that the shaft holding the butterfly in has worn out and isn't lubricated and is there a way to recondition the TB to fix the issue? I also noticed since putting the 4ag into my current KE70 that the pedal feels a lot lighter than it did in the previous ke.

Yeah I had that feeling, i was playing with it earlier today and turning by hand it doesnt stick at all, looking at the cable i can see there is a slight kink in it if you pull it out as far as it can go :( owell better get that replaced then..

I can't say that I've ever had this problem with a 4AGE but I have had it happen in my 2AC AE80. Dammed throttle body itself was the culprit so it was a straight replace job. No matter how lacking in power a car might be, it still has the potential to make a very nasty stain in your pants when youi back off the throttle & nothing happens!

Sounds as though the cable is the culprit here, I'm assuming you've checked the throttle return spring? It prob wouldnt hurt to give the throttle butterfly shaft a quick spray of RP7/WD40 just be on the safe side tho!

yeah i gave the throttle body a good clean and spray lubed all the moving parts when it first happened but it didn't solve the problem. I'm fairly certain it's the cable after looking at it today.

Also maybe check that its clearing the bonnet, The pedal would feel alot lighter if the throttle was being held open by the bonnet and your only pulling a loose cable when applying the pedal.
