4K-C Electronic Ignition

Hi

 

I've just started to get into the old corollas, ive got a ke70 with a 4k-c in it and it has points in the dizzy and i was wondering if anyone would know where i could get an electronic ignition kit for one as I'm sick of fiddling around with point.

Well, I wouldn't say that...

 

Its just that while you will get a cleaner spark and better running, its a bit more than just plug and play.

 

When i find a "named" spring that fits it then I can say... "go buy a 'something' and pull the spring out of it" :laff:

See if you can still buy one of these. Your points will last forever and only need the gap checked every once in a while.

I would still recommend finding a distributor that's been changed to inductive or hall effect as they output a better signal. The kit can be configured to which ever you have.

If you don't mind ebay and getting your hands dirty. Something based around the Bosch BIM024 module will actually make a really strong ignition. These setups are very powerful.
